Treat to Target Trial
54 week open label randomized study
Compared atorvastatin, fluvastatin, lovastatin, and simvastatin
Sought to reduce LDL-C levels to NCEP goals
Mean LDL-C 205mg/dl on entry
Initial 12 week dosing, then titrated up every 12 weeks to maximum doses
If still not at target with maximum doses, colestipol 5g/day added and titrated to 20g/day
