Helsinki Heart Study

• 4081 asymptomatic middle-aged men(40-55)

• Followed 5 years

• Received either placebo or gemfibrozil

• Total cholesterol, LDL, HDL measured

• Principal endpoints were fatal and non-fatal myocardial infarction and cardiac deaths
