Pharmacologic Therapy
Beta Blockers:
- atenolol and metoprolol seem to be more concentrated in breast milk than propanolol and labetolol.
- metoprolol does not readily cross into the placenta
- Overall, labetolol appears to be the best beta blocker for hypertension
